DESCRIPTION:
Tse Yang is a 20 year old restaurant in midtown that has been quietly pampering a loyal and diverse clientele. Indeed, the original Tse Yang is in Paris' fashionable sixteenth arrondissement.
The name Tse Yang refers to a part of Beijing's Forbidden City, and thus to the world of China's emperors.
New York's Tse Yang is a restful environment...one can pick out the details in the massive wall reliefs of village scenes and landscapes. The ceilings are carved and coffered, and the high-backed chairs have embroidered ivory-colored silk cushions...There is fine napery and Chinese porcelain on every table...Virtually all serving is done by the staff of highly trained, graceful waiters.
